Worshipful Master Installed at September Regular Meeting |
|
V.W.Bro. Caswell was installed as Worshipful Master of Ashlar Lodge at the regular meeting of September 5, 2008, a gala event delayed due to a personal priority.Ashlar, as with all other lodges in Ottawa District 2, usually installs and invests its officers in May. The ceremony could not be done as Bro. Caswell's had to attend to his ailing mother, resident in England.
Bro. Caswell affiliated with Ashlar Lodge three years ago, after a year's residency in Ottawa. He is Past Provincial Senior Grand Deacon of the Grand Lodge of England. Soon after joining Ashlar, he was asked to sit in as Senior Warden to replace a member who was posted out-of-town, and of course, the implication that he would become Master.
The team of officers were also invested as depicted below.
Front Row (l - r) W.Bro. Gordon Hutchison, Tyler; W.Bro. Sherman Neil, Immediate Past Master; V.W.Bro. Bryan Caswell, Worshipful Master; W.Bro. Bob Birks, Secretary.
